What are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are made up of a natural, biodegradable gel called Hyaluronic acid (HA); a naturally occurring substance found in the body. Dermal Fillers are injected into the skin to fill out lines and wrinkles, to improve the skin’s appearance, to add volume and to smooth minor to moderate lines caused by the loss of elasticity as skin ages. Fillers are particular effectively when working in conjunction with wrinkle-relaxing treatments. At the Allison Jeffery Skin Health and Laser Clinic in Brighton only the highest quality Fillers are used by recognised, expert and experienced practitioners.
Dermal Fillers are particularly effective around the eyes, nose, and mouth as well as filling small imperfections:
- Eye laughter lines and crow’s feet
- Frown lines between the eyebrows
- Lip volume and shaping
- Cheek volume and shaping
- Nose to mouth lines - nasolabial folds
- Smile lines on the cheeks
- Marionette lines (corners of the mouth)
- Chin indentations
*Individual results may vary.
I felt like I was starting to look old. Now I feel much happier and more confident. My treatment was very affordable as I don’t have to keep spending on expensive anti-wrinkle creams that don’t workMichelle, Company Director
During your consultation at the Allison Skin Health and Laser Clinic in Brighton, the different Filler options will be discussed with you. One or more Dermal Fillers options will be recommended by our experienced regulated practitioners to achieve the results you are looking for and they will discuss with you how you can expect to look afterwards.
To reduce the sensation of the injection, Lidocaine is combined with the Dermal Fillers or alternatively LMX cream containing a local anaesthetic can be applied to numb the area. Practitioners at the Allison Jeffery Skin Health and Laser Clinic are experienced in providing the most comfortable and pain free treatment possible.
Filler is gently injected into specific areas of your skin to reduce the depth of the skin crease or to provide volume. Our expert practitioners will create a treatment tailored to the exact depth and number of injections that are needed to give you the most natural result. Combinations of different Fillers may be used in different areas of your face to further enhance the effect.
After just one treatment with Dermal Filler you’ll notice an immediate difference as lines and wrinkles are effectively filled and smoothed with the results lasting up to 12 months.
Dermal Fillers can restore volume and skin will look smoother and appear softer, resulting in a more youthful appearance. The treatment is non-invasive with virtually no recovery time necessary; you can resume your normal activities immediately after treatment.
After a Dermal Filler treatment it is advisable that you do not:
- Rub the treated areas, apply make-up for 4 hours
- Do any strenuous exercise
- Lie down for 6 hours after your treatment.
After treatment our expert Dermal Filler Practioner will explain your aftercare in detail. Allison Jeffery Skin Health and Laser Clinic also offers 24 hour aftercare should you have any questions about your Dermal Filler treatment or post-treatment care.
